Wexler creates a several series of work, which consists of faces marred and marked with lines, swirls, patterns and color to create unique and unusual portraits. Some are created of friends, fellow artists and people she has just met. Each one reflects a personality that radiates from their inner selves. The paintings began from inspirations of both Aboriginal and Maori people. She continues the series in between her series of larger paintings, pen & inks, as well as, sculpture.nWexler has her BFA from Parsons New School of Design and her Art education from Bank Street College both in NYC, as well as, her Masters in Education. Ms. Wexler currently teaches in Sarasota County with over ten years as an Art Educator. Wexler has exhibited in New York City, Florida, Indiana, New Jersey and other states. Wexler artwork has been included in many Art books including Best of World Wide Mixed Media. Her work has been exhibited in South Florida museum, Museum of the Americas, Ormond Beach Museum, and more; plus in the permanent collection of the Lake Eustis Museum of Art. Her work is collected worldwide even by William Wegman.n
